  • A Drama

    A Drama

Because I love you, burn me Ashes Because I love you, cut me Gashes Rip my heart out Only the Grand Weaver can stitch me Patchless But why do all dramas end tragic? Holding on to one page Out of many chapters Switch scenes, wardrobe & actors But it seems we can never get back ta The time Blinded by the now It’s shrunken in the shroud Yet somehow,  everything but me knows its place The reason I love comedy, cause I know they end  Smiley face

  • Walk Regular

    Walk Regular

Drops in a bucket, words on a page, all considered precious to the eyes of a sage. Everything speaks to the man who listens, many people seek many things but many forget wisdom. Dying the death of emptiness because they live life of safety. Small steps, followed by shallows breaths, no mis steps because they did everything the right way. Walked the fine line to avoid error, plagued by the terror of the possibility. What will one find, if they walk more »

  • My desert

    My desert

I will never say Goodbye to Desert Skies. Fiery Reds, Brushes of Purplish Blues-Magnificent Hues. Horizon. The Mountains Cascade around the open space The Green that Fades, mirages for shade. The Ocotillo Trees, the faint breeze. The Brown Brush Covering the infinite &  spreading dust.

  • Found

    Found

My steps forfeited by fright. So I broke the mold and to hold my heart in my hand, so it doesn’t break. Do want I need to do , even if I make mistakes. I make, create and maintain my reality. Actualizing fears as opportunities. Pursue me, not them. Look to the Father, not men. In retrospect, I feel no regret when I live in the moment Everyday’s a battle & I’m my main opponent But I found peace, I chose to be me.  I chose to be more »

  • Dearth

    Dearth

The word Dearth speaks of scarcity and lack.  I wrote this a low point in my life where I saw elements lacking in my character and judgement.  It means a lot to me, hopefully it means something to you.

  • An Inconvenient Truth

    An Inconvenient Truth

An inconvenient truth blasted thought I would go deaf Suffocated by reality, so I held my breath Frustrated, so I beat my chest Like a beast I ran till I could hear blissful lies told my conscience forty years from now I’ll apolgize. But for now, I’ll buy time Distanced on the tallest mountain I’ll be fine. Sublime, but fine. Trading peace for a piece of mine. Too much thinking, Where’s the the vine?

  • Lightning Strikes

    Lightning Strikes

The Lightning struck darkness-escaped. For a moment all that stood was truth. No lies, no distortions, no art, Just Truth. Fleeting like fantasy We forgot reality, Just passed before our eyes. A truth we beheld, But could not hold. If only we could slow the shutter And see all as it is-protracted. Maybe then we could see ourselves, clearer. With lightning as our mirror. A bolt from heaven, Revealing our imperfection and earthly roots. Spirits bound in earth suits. With more »

  • Walk Away

    Walk Away

Time passed as I watched the grains of sand slip through my hands and return to the same. Digging my hands deep, I wrestled with my own thoughts, grappling with questionable notions. I finally decided to mold a mound of sand, and then I set out walking, and thinking. Thinking at times about nothing, and at times about everything. The farther I walked the closer I felt to the serenity of the ocean and the further removed I felt from more »

  • Day to Night Skype

    Day to Night Skype

From night to twilight, the dark night flew to morning skies Where ‘Hellos’become Goodbyes. Weary at dusk, with the weight of the day. Waiting for the Sun to come again and usher in a luminous new day. We wait, and rush, make peace and fuss, cause at the end of the day, we start anew…A smile is on my face, because my tomorrow includes you. Not bound by yesterdays, but released from past to present. From present we create anew, more »
