Losing my marblesLosing heart Losing my religionLosing sight Losingmy wayLosing ground Tonight I was reminded of a song by Chicago MC Add-2 called Losing Me. The song chronicles a personal journey of man who at odds with himself. Through his own personal battles he is fighting to keep sight of his identity and purpose. The song begins like this.. I’m trying to find peace, in every line between my rhymes and beats/Between my God and Momma, I’m just trying to honor each/I more »

I felt that way myself when I moved there in the Aughties. Fresh out of law school, I wanted a couple of years to live abroad and travel. With South Korea, I knew I was going to a country where I wouldn’t run into a lot of people who looked like me. Fireworks echo the sounds and sparks of cannons that blasted on a battlefield over 200 years ago that paid for our freedom.
