My life in New York has been mostly about production. When I moved to New York, I began working for the documentary film division of Moguldom Studios as a production assistant. Eventually took on the role of an associate field producer.. A few months ago, they offered me a job in Atlanta because that is the new home of the film department. I declined the offer because I want to stay in New York and pursue other opportunities.
In the last two months, I’ve been working on my own as a freelance photographer, videographer, editor and production assistant. It’s been an interesting experience and I’ve learned a lot. I’ve learned how to deal with people that don’t pay on time, but I’ve also learned and acquired a lot of skills from working on different types of productions. Below are a few production still I took from a movie called Father Forgive Them produced by Moguldom Films and a new show on BET called What’s At Stake hosted by Dr. Marc Lamont Hill. Have I also mentioned that Dr. Marc Lamont Hill is someone I’ve always wanted to meet and interview? He’s a beast. I watched him effortlessly juggle difficult topics like domestic violence, inner city violence and racism with ease. I first took note of him many years ago when I saw him verbally sparring with Bill O’rielly, and that is not an easy thing to do. Looking forward to doing more work with them.
Nods to Holland West Productions.
